Hello my name is Mickie Repecka and I am from Moss TN. My family, including my husband Linas and my daughter Katie, moved to TN from Los Angeles CA in 2004. Why?

1. Traffic and too many people.  Lines. Lines. Lines. everywhere. You can't go anywhere without the multitudes pressing you every day.

2. Government control over personal life. The government entities in California, from the state to the home-owner's groups are exerting more and more control over the everyday life of citizens. We do not agree that we should have to get a permit for $100 to cut down a tree in our yard and be subject to fines or jail time if we do it without one.

3. Taxes and cost of living. Up-Up and never down. No thanks.

4. We wanted the simple life. Small schools. Friendly neighbors and townsfolk. When you break down, the car that pulls up behind you is someone to help you, not rob you.  The people in the bank greet me by name when I come in. The restaurant waitresses know what drinks to bring when we walk in the door. Community the way it should be.

We bought a 160 acre farm and are renovating the 1880s barn and farmhouse. BARN REDEUX.

In 2008, we started our sheep flocks.  We got some katahdin, St Croix, Dorper crosses. We will see how hat goes!
